Let's see: No guns, no ammunition and little fuel; just the predicament every tanker wants to be in!

Well they only limited armor, ammo and fuel. What tanker wouldn't love to fly into a battlefield on rickity wings and get to fight with that? They might as well air drop an old ford pick up in and give the driver a pistol!

Always interesting to see what Google will turn up for you. The Internet is an amazing place with things tucked away in seemingly un-related corners that you can stumble across when you least expect it. Big Smile [:D]

It's really interesting to see what the Brits did with the Locust...they choked the barrel down to take a 30mm round and the muzzle velocity jumped to 4,000 ft/sec. Shock [:O]

Speaking of Glider borne armor...the Americans tried it too, just a little differently. Research the Locust tank and see what you find. Big Smile [:D]

I am thinking that may have gotten them a ticket to the Gulag, instead. Probably the tank part was really thinly armored and the plane part was probably still to heavy to be anything but slow. Any German pilot who came acrossed it would probably be better off getting out of the plane and pursuing on foot.

I found this while researching my T-60 build;

I swear this is a real photo! It would be cool to build one, if one could find any info on the glider.
