Painting a Panzer III/IV
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, April 26, 2003 9:06 AM
Just starting to work on a Panzer III/IV and I'm looking for a paint scheme. Were most of these tanks done in the Panzer Grey or Tan? Also, can anyone say whether the long-barreled version was more widely manufactured than the short-barreled version?

If it males any difference I'm looking at the western front to guide my efforts.

you could do a normandy scheme, for my panther i used olive green, dark yellow, and red-brown camo paints from tamiya and humbrol. as for the tanks i have no real clue about them except early panzer IIIs had a 37 mm gun until it was upgraded with a 50mm gun. And as for panzer IV, the ausf e had a low velocity 75mm gun for infantry support, i could be wrong though so dont take it as gospel.
