Hi Larry, Well I am an ex-londoner now living in Warsaw with a drop dead beautiful Polish girl. Hell,I gave up my country,my job, sold my house to move here and try another way of life and escape from the London Rush hour. I just turned the big five O so felt it was time to slow down and chill out a little. I now teach English for Berlitz to 22 young blonde Polish ladies. All high cheekbones and Blonde hair. Not as much money as I was earning as a plumber but a lot more fun!

Beats me why he could not use his American credit cards.

Scer,

Expat is short for expatriate...someone from America living in France would be considered an expatriate American.

Sorry Larry, My six local hobby stores in Warsaw don't have a sniff of a Hetzer.Only Fujimi 1/76!! Way too small. Internet out for me as an Expat so therefore not to be trusted by the Polish Banking system with a Credit Card!! even though I have money in the Bank.

I've never been to Poland, but while in Germany I often found older OOP kits in the hobby stores in smaller towns. It may take a lot of searching, but there's got to be at least one around some place.

lolok, aren't there hobby stores in Poland? I'd think you could just go right in and use rubles or kroner or whatever the Polish currency is called. Use them up before inflation makes them useless! Laugh [(-D] Dragon Hatzer kits are still on the shelves, as far as I know.

If you want to spend a lot more dough -- and who doesn't? -- Cromwell makes one in 1/16th.

Lots hella cool. Thing is, it's 155 pounds, which is a lot of Polish sheckles. Tongue [:P]

Fujimi alson makes a 1/76 version which I picked up at a show a couple of weeks ago although I dont know if its still in production. I just finished the chi ha in 1/76 by fujimi and that was a nice kit so I think the hetser should be nice (I havnt opened it yet).

Have you considered 1/72 or 1/76..?

Esci had one, quite decent. In white metal, SHQ have a very neat little offering too (1/76)...

Yup they are about the only game in town. I bought my Hetzer (Dragon) off Ebay. You may find someone in europe or in the states willing to ship to europe that works with money orders... I don't really know man....

If you find a place to order them and have a choice, then go with the DML kit. Its miles ahead of the Itaeri one if you don't mind the indi links

As far as I know the Dragon (many versions) and Italeri (only one, with one-piece tracks, older) are your only options in 1/35. Not having a credit card may prohibit you from using mail order...... Maybe one of our Polish members can steer you in the right way towards a hobby shop that has what you're looking for. Maybe you should try an appeal in a thread asking for Polish advice specifically. I know there's at least one Polish guy here, but I forgot his name.... Sorry mate, that's the best I can do.

I posted a few weeks ago about looking for a hetzer for a planned project on the Warsaw uprising and the 38t Hetzer the insurgents captured.Italeri made one,now deleted.Dragon made one,now deleted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where can I find one???? As an ex-pat here in Poland,I am not yet eligible for a credit card,so that limits my options a little.
Any suggestions guys? would be much appreciated.Boohoo [BH]
