Good news.

The Mirage Luchs comes with 3 paint options and the Hasegawa 1/72esque set of decals that contains a lot of numbers and a few crosses. Evil [}:)]

The kit is next on my list to complete after our show in September. If you are near Rochester, NY, please go.

My quick review of the kit shows rope, photoetch, and flat panel construction with pretty
nice looking moldings. I can't wait to build it.

I think I will be getting some AM parts for this one. I did send it back, I have some time before I decided. Thanks Manuel for the heads up on the sprocket wheels. I will be careful

Hey Jason,

Sorry about the bad luck with the Luchs kit. I built this kit straight from the box. I suggest you get the after market tracks and accessories. It really is a very good kit. Word of caution: the sprocket wheel halves do not have a pin to align to each other (mine didn't). So make sure the sprocket teeth are aligned to each other when you add the track links.

Let me know how the Mirage goes together. Does it have multple options for decals? If so, I may also get that and build two. Never turn down an excuse to by more kits

I've got the Mirage Luchs, and it looks intact. I don't mean to besmerch ICM, but for armor,
I've had not luck with them. Their aircraft are much better.

I know that the Mirage kit is in the $20 range.Cowboy [C):-)]

This is the one I purchased. http://www.squadron.com/ItemDetails.asp?item=IC35121
I would be interested to know, if you have the same ones, if the decals were included for ALL the varients shown in the instructions or if it is just one. I just mailed it back today and hope to have better luck when I get a replacement, but I am not holding my breath. If it has all the pieces, I will be happy. I can scrounge the decals if needed

Maybe we need to define this bad luck/curse more carefully...

All modelers who've been exposed to Jwest21's recent posts should report to the nearest medical facility for examination of possible JBLS (Jwest Bad Luck Syndrome) and subsequent treatment/quarrantine. Clown [:o)]

Hope you both recover soon!

Don't worry about bad luck. This had to do with me being up too late, and being careless, not your bad day! Also, this happen's more times than I want to admit. Thing happens.
Again sorry.

No problem. Maybe you accidentally discovered a new weathering technique

Sign - Oops [#oops] Well, there is no point in putting bad news off untill morning. While putting the finishing touches on my M4a4, I knocked over a [full] cup of coffee on the bench. This managed to "coffee weather" lower tracks, but worse still it destroyed the decal sheet I was going to mail you in the morning. It looks like we are both having a bad day.Sigh [sigh] Maybe someone else [that does not put cups on the bench] might have some around. I don't know what else to say, other than I'm sorry. I hope you have better luck.

Odd that they would also make a 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 decal set as well. Yeah, if you have any extra and could spare them, that would be great. i wanted to do any of the three tone Luchs. I can live with what came with the PzII D.

Yes, they are all on one sheet, maybe 3"x3". I look around to see if I still have a set in the spare decals "blackhole". You never know.

Hmmm.... matthew9, were your decals all on one sheet? I just had one little one with one tank option

I've built two of the ICM pz ll-L. I've had good luck with them. The ones i've built had the decals for the 5 versions in the instructions. And they had "indy" tracks that I thought were pretty good. I would say the decals could be much better,{my opinon}. Sorry about the bad luck. I think we all have this with new kits. I know I have.

I got this at Alangers for $10.50. They are on sale right now for $11.55. I looked long and hard at the $55 Tasca version, but couldn't get myself to spend that much on such a little tank. I heard it is as good, if not better than Tamiya products, however

It figures the decals included were the ones I DIDN't want to build. It has a couple of really nice three tone camo schemes in the instructions, but of course the decals included are for the plane jane yellow one. On the bright side, it is a step better than the Acadamy Pz IV I bought a few years back. It had no directions for paint schemes, and the decals inside didn't match any of the boxtop options

Is that the $55 kit or the $15.00 kit? I was looking into getting one at my LHS but can't remeber the manuf. I know there was a $64 version also. I thought it was kinda pricey.

Just me.

Look on the bright side, it gives you the perferct excuse to get AM tracks and decals/transfers. Clown [:o)]

Sorry to hear your purchases weren't what you expected, nothing is more frustrating than to open up the box and realize that you've been sold down the river.
