LeClercs? which is best?
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, September 5, 2004 7:16 PM
I really would like to build a French LeClerc and was wondering if anyone has built one and which kits are best.......

Of course, being French, it would only go in reverse..Big Smile [:D]

okay, thanx. i was born in paris, but i've been living in the states since 71. I am working on an M8 greyhound belonging to the free french army, and I'd like to do a LeClerc, but in 1/35 scale. I did a Heller Somua35 and still have an H-39 to build, but I'm in the hunt for a leclerc first

Hola Alles!

Ich habe keine LeClerc made, but it is a Char du magnifique! Meine amigos im Frankreich sind very happy mit it.

Isn't it nice to be part of an international community! (Even if you can only spell marginally in English??)

Da! Ja! Oui! !Si! (can't make an upside down !).

Poniatowski, I didn't know you spoke Spangermench. Didn't your mom ever tell you that taking German I, French I and Spanish I in the same semester wasn't a good idea?

Heller are supposedly releasing a new Leclerc in 1/35, taking the old kit into the 21st century, as it will be a T6 variant.

Revell diminutive 1/72 kit remains the best kit so far, but it's a T5, not the latest variants. Academy's 1/48 offering is probably similar to Zenghdefu's kit, and it's wrong in many areas, even for a pre-production model. Heller's original 1/35 is a pre-production model. Nt too sure about Trumpeters' but I know the tracks suck.

I apologize...... I forgot my numeric camera....I know it's incredible but....
So, there is a lot of interresting things, but nothing which break the house.
No leclerc, no vab, but a lot of 6 inch figurines with a tiger at the scale !!!!!!
Some 1/16 tanks, lots of cars.....

Sorry Piwi....i apologize one more time.

I just saw that recently as well. I'm considering ordering it. Anyone have anything to say about the kit?

Zokissima, not worth the trouble unless you want a pre-production model (T1/T2 series). And you'd still need quite a bit of work to get it to a decent standard. As I said, better wait a little while and get the new Heller kit (T6 series).
