well i am just getting back into modeling and the kit i picked is very fun it is the 1/35 academy tiger 1 mid production with interior.but i am not done yet but i am adding a metal barrel and photoetched interior parts on it and i am doing fine but the real challenge is going to be painting it and weathering it as i do not have alot of skills with that but i,m going to research the best methods and give it my all.i also got some good replys here on this website from you guys that will come in handy.if anyone has some feedback on washing or drybrushing go to my post titled (need some help )and it would be greatly appreceated

Just weather it with a wash (thinner tinted with the color of the tank), drybrushing, pastels, and a matte varnish. I am setting up a tripod site in which I will include photos of anyones models if they send it to me (mb240@hotmail.com) and will give step by steps for the amateur modeller or someone with little skill or cash (as with me, being a kid working on a burger king salary if you know what I mean).

I am pretty new to armour modeling myself, and so i haven't made many models, but i have just bought the Acadamey M-18 HellCat and am going to get a Interior Detail set for it.
That'll keep me busy - hope to make this the bet one yet :)

The Academy 1/35 Tiger 1 mid production kit that pvtone mentions above is an excellent model. The full interior is really well done with plenty of detail for any fan of the Tiger. The fit is great, there is very little flashing and the dimensions are right on. The kit comes with plenty of extras including vinyl hoses for the air filters and photoetched grills. The price is also decent, costing only $5 more than the tamiya with no interior. If you're into the Tiger 1 check this model out and with around 500 pieces this will keep you busy for a while.

Only built 1, an Italerie Hetzer, but I am about to work on Tamiya's M1A1. Should be pretty fun. Can't wait till the lawsuit's over.

I really am into vignettes etc, and have only done one complete armor model but Ihave two in the works (gotta fix my aztec). I actually did my first tank by brush with NO primer with NO airbrush. It came out crappy but voer a good 4 months (long time, right?) I learned more and more techniques. I pinted over lumpy areas and it smoothed out. I drybrushed buff for dust and a lot of flat aluminum becuase I plan on putting some grenadier on there (people overlook how grenadiers always hitched rides on panzerkampfwagons III and IV, and over look how there will be bare metal on a flat surface instead of only on corners, hatches and wheels. There should be a lot of aluminum as worn metal). I mixe my own paint for the tracks, some black, flat, redbrown, and isoprpryl alcohol. Pencils do fine for aluminum colr, but can rub off. I need to finish some of my figures, which is about 9 all together and ill post some pics. My dio with it will be them going along in a french town with some americans stalking them in a wrcked building, one with bazooka and some setting up a 30 cal or 50 cal, gotta research it, by a window with one guys running from across the street with ammo clips. Hope the thred continues....................to DOMINATE ALL THREADS..........MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!
