Finished Tank!!!

Well, it looks very good from over here! What kit is it? My only comment would be about the pic itself as you have light coming on the tank from a different direction than the light hitting the background...

Nice job from what I can see, clean build and the different photo representations are neat. As dj mentioned the lighting seems a little odd but other than that it's looking pretty good.

I also noticed in the first pics, that the light source seemed to be coming from two directions.

The B&W photos look better, since the light source discrepancy is not as noticeable, at least to me.

The tank looks great, nice smooth build, yet I think a bit of dust or dirt in the tracks and lower hull may help it to look more 'at home' in the fields you've chopped it into. On the first pic BTW, nice effect putting the grass in fromt of the tracks like that! Well done!

As for the photo, the lighting problems have already been mentioned, but the lack of a shadow under the tank has not. A nice shadow will give the impression the tank is actually there.

Looks nice but may be you should add some mud on tracks

can't see first, second, or fourth pics. from third pic tho it looks pretty good. i agree with piwi, those tracks could use some mud pies on 'em

Thanks for the tips and comments :> , The kit is Tamiya m4a3 sherman 1/35th scale. Most of the time i build scifi and autos. What can i use to fill in tank tracks for mud.

For mud, you can try ground up artist's pastels mixed with some flat acrylic as a binder. You can then dab and brush it wherever mud would accumulate, i.e. mostly the tracks and suspension bogies. You can also simulate dirt by applying the same pastel dust to the tank and sealing it with a flat clear overcoat. Try and find find a number of Sherman reference photos to see how it should appear and where it is usually he thickest and dirtiest. You may find that even a fairly subtle amount of dirt, will give the tank a surprisingly "used" look.
