Thanks- that's exactly what I wanted to see. I just got Tamiya's kit and was looking for some references. The books I have deal only with tanks, so that really helps.

No, I didn't. until I saw this kit last night, I never dreamt of doing it, so I never looked for any info. Didn't AFV Interiors site close down?

Wow, that's good to know. For this one, I don't think I will need anything. I don't plan on opening it up as of yet. I just needed something small, simple and wheeled for a little break. If plans change, and they always do, I'll let you know

well, keep it in mind.
the AFV site had 3 pages for this vehicle, and includes exterior info too.
the pages add up to a bit less than 2 MB.
if you can handle an email of that size and want them,
email me w/ the email link on my post,
and i will send them back to your email.
they open up in Internet Explorer.

c'mon - let us complicate your simple build!

That kit was one of the best I have built. I may get another one one day, I enjoyed it that much.
I ended up scratch building an interior for mine that came out pretty neat using AFV interiors. Even though you really cant see too much of it after it was assembled..... Oh well, I know its there! I painted mine gray with a whitewash winter camo.f
Did you get the kit with the PE parts?

Great kit, and it would look great in that Afrika camo. I built one similar, and it is awaiting it's place in a dio.

They are great fun, and can be detailed easily, e.g. interior, and you don't need much more than sprue and sheet styrene.

Hey Ryan, I'd love to see some pics of your 222, if you have any. I did a very similar thing with a 223.

There are more pics on my website. Building that kit was one of my most enjoyable builds, and I am really proud of it, but I bet I build more 222's and 223's.

I did get the kits with photo-etch. Very nice little kit. I looked online and the only AM stuff I could find was a couple of Eduard PE. Somewhere, I know I saw a kit with resin view ports open.

Nice build there! I think yours turned out better than mine. I will have to open a photobucket account soon so that I may share some pics.
I used a thin sheet of styrene and tamiyas German weapons set to detail my triple duece. It was very easy to do although I had to rip it out once because the seats mounted to the turret would bump into the storage box in the floor. A rack for the crews SMG, the grenade storage as well as the various spots for gas masks, and other equipment was made from styrene.
This was a really fun build. I hope to do some variants soon.
