Matt,
thanks for the look, and welcome to the forums!
great to see your build.
would be interested to hear your impressions of the Fruils,
and of the PE set.

are the lighter sections on the front zim?
if so, what did you use for yours?

It looks like you've got a pretty good handle on your first experience with PE and Friultracks Matt. Looking forward to my first attempt at PE and AM tracks soon. Would be interested in hearing how your assembly went with both the PE and the friul's. Semper fi, mike

it really wasnt hard. the fruils are more tedious than hard, i took that picture a few days ago, and today i have the whole set done for that side. the PE was difficult at times, but it looks real good, and i will probably be glad when its done that i took my time one it. some people but those real expensive PE tools, but honestly, i did fine with a metal ruler and some X-acto blades, ill work on getting better photos later on tommorow/weekend. all in all, it can be tough, but it really adds alot more to your model. also, the zimm i used was from cavalier

i fondled their waffle sheet for the Stug at the LHS,
but i had already comitted to a putty & stamp approach.

Thanks for taking the time to comment on your experience with the PE and friultracks Matt. I like that idea of using a steel rule and X-acto blade for folding up your PE. I may have to resort to that as a beginner with the price of those PE fixtures being so darn expensive. I look forward to seeing your completed work on your panzerkamphwagwn it looks great so far. Hey Matt I am from Portland , part time Biddeford ( thats where the girlfriend lives ) Supposedly the southern maine modelers meets every other tuesday , which one I have no idea . I just do my modeling here when I have some spare time . I also order almost all of my stuff off the net as there are not too many good hobby shops in the whole state , and then they only have the very basic stuff to get you going , I like aftermarket stuff and that you cannot get here . There are one or 2 modeling contests in the area , usually in the springtime . I will be there for sure this year .

Matt, looking good so far. I wonder.........how do you paint the tracks once assembled on the unpainted kit? I admire modelers who can do that. Me......I'd just make a mess!
