This is dml's 1/35 T-34/76 mod. 1941, please let me know what you think, it was also my first time airbrushing. Oh by the way i didnt weather it that much because i plan on putting it in a dio and i want the dirt on it to match

Abe, it looks like you have a nice clean build there. I like the battle damage to the front of the fenders. I do however notice a gap in the tracks in the second picture down in the left column. Lastly the paint looks shiney in my picture. Maybe it's the flash. Nice build. How did it go together? It's on my list of to gets.

All in all in looks good. The build is nice and the dings, dents. and assorted damage give it a nicely used look that will work well in the dio.

The basic paint looks good. If the sheen in the photos is real as opposed to a flash effect, you should probably hit it with another dull coat. When you add the additional dirt and dust while doing the dio, that will help as well. I really like the rust on the exhaust and on the tracks. The exhaust stains on the rear hull look good too. Looking forward to the completed dio.

Nothing to add what's already been said other than nice finish for your first AB attempt! What paint did you use for the basecoat?

Yea its glossy from the picture. I noticed the gap in the tracks but i couldnt fit another link in it so i am going to have someone standing infront of it to hid it. The build went together very nicely, the only hting i used the wasnt from the kit was the barrel. The set came with p.e. but i only used it for the engine grill. It was given a base coat of grimmy balck. Then gave it a coat of model master russian army green but realized that it was too dark, so i gave it another coat of mm russain army lightened with mm wood.

Abe,
Nice job. I just completed the same kit. Although I did not weather mine as much. I used Gunze's russion green with mahogany camo patterns. Turned out better than expected. I noticed that you had a great deal of sag in the tracks, I think that is the reason you came up short on your links.

Very Nice Build. Are those kit tracks or After market? The sag is excellent.

Nice built. As you can see that I love all kinds of T-34. I think I have every T-34 out there. I recently built T34/76 1940, and I have the 1941 on the waiting list.

Thanks for sharing. What airbrush do you have. What did you use to weather the exsaust?

Looks really good. How did you do the battle damage to the fenders?

I think it looks good, I however to fix the missing link problem would take the spares you have on the hull and use them adjusting the idler wheel back and forth till you get the right tension, I hadto dothis on mine as well.

Yea that makes sense with the sag making me come up short. I will ahve to ocrrect that. The tracks are from the kit, the only problem with them is the ejector pin marks on all of them!!! I didnt sand them away and they showed up in the drybrushing, ill ahve to hid them with dust. I weathered the exhaust by first painting them with tamiya red brown, then while the paint was wet i applieddoc o brian weathering powders of orange and red shades, they caked on and came out realy nice. THe good part about this is you can easily change how corroded you want them by just adding powder. The exhaust stains where simply made by usuing black doc obrian powder.
I have a badgeer anthem airbrush and i love it lots... its sure better than the old spray cans.
I weathered my fenders by susuing the grinding bit on a dremal tool. By thining away the fenders you can bend them as you wish and poke holes in with you knife. Also if you leave the grinder on long enough it will just rip right through which looks very realistic. But i have to give credit to that idea to my man at my LHS A A hobbies, if you live in the area go there, he is great

Looks great as it is now. And it would look greater in a diorama. Keep us posted.
