Thanks kenneth and zokissima! I'm looking at getting a cube display case for it but so far the odd dimensions have meant it wouldn't be cheap! It now sits on my computer desk shelf safely out of reach of the cat (she's already tried to steal one of the figures!) at least for the time being. Big Smile [:D]

UHHH WOW!!! Outstanding! The buildup, the weathering everything looks so nice and realistic... Pat yourself on the back and sweep off the fireplace mantle, display it with pride pal.... Great job...

Wow, this beastie must have taken a lot of paint Smile [:)]
I really want a kit of one of these massive guns, but I think I"ll have to settle for the Karl Morser.

That is really a very very impressive job, Bill. The time you spent on it really came out in form of its beautiful appearance. Trully an amazing work.

Wow Bill, that sucks, but I hope all will be well. Take care of yourself, you've earned the rest.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words and compliments! I'm not sure if the kit is cursed or not now as shortly after working on this for the pictures and posting it up, I ended up in the hospital and only just got out today. Tongue [:P] Feeling well enough to stop by for a bit and check on things but not nearly back to full speed.

Bobsbigtoy,

Not sure if you are asking about the kit itself or the RL gun? The kit is 1/35 by Dragon, 758 pieces. Not as many pieces as the Trumpeter offering but also only about 1/2 the price.

Jessiah,

I am using the included 6 figure set provided by Dragon, although you don't see them in any of the pics because I haven't secured the figures yet. I'm waiting to see if I can still enter it in the DesertCon as a kit with them or if that will put it in the diorama category. I liked the figures especially since they have different posing options avaialable without having to do surgery!

Ex949,

This kit was a paint sponge! Ended up using 4 1 oz. bottles of MM Panzer Schwarzgrau along with multiple bottles of various other colors for the railbed, rails, undercarraiages, etc.

Mo,

Like it or not, I've been forced to stop building, at least for the short term! Hopefully I can get back to it soon but I'm not in any rush. Docs described by symptoms initially as a stroke and that really got my attention (I'm fairly young for that at 28), so will be taking it easy for a little while at any rate.

Thanks for the all the pics!!!
Especially thanks for the starboard side shots. Since this is the more plain side, its very difficult to find good pictures of it (the real thing or models).

Now this is a build worthy of a prominent place in your house. (Or maybe it is the prominent place in your house...). Nice job on the finishing.

I like the way the whole thing came out. Going to add some figures to this to shows its relative scale?
