I also appreciate your posts, Rob. My search for more kits in this scale will continue for years to come. It should be fun and challenging. I like the links you included in the replies. The AMPS website is a good one.

Thank you, Robert Burns

I don't know what anyone else says, but I really appreciate the scope of your posts, Rob. They're thorough and extremely helpful. If someone else doesn't appreciate it, they should just go on to another post and be done with it. Thanks Rob!

I post accurate information. There is a lot of online hostilites directed towards people whom the rank and file deem to be know-it-alls or self-proclaimed experts. The information I post can be easily verified because I have the actual kit in hand (or the scans of the instructions). This way if some member says that Italeri never made this or ITC never made that, I can back up my information with concrete proof.

I never claim to be an expert on anything and I'm not young enough to know everything. So I leave room for others to add to the rest of the story and not think that I'm trying to hog the market on trival information.

I've also got the Tamiya Tiger I and Academy Jagdpanther. Both are decent kits. The Tiger has a nice interior, but since I'm not a Tiger expert, I don't know how accurate it it.

The one kit I've been looking for is the old Bandai M60A1 in 1/24 scale. eBay prices tend to get too high on these old kits though.

Revell of Germany also does a 1/24 scale Bundeswehr Unimog. Rather interesting modern cargo truck that's been around for over 20 years. I'm not sure if the military version is still in production, but it is possible. I still see civilian versions on the shelves, mainly the snow plow or fire engine one. I do not know if they cah be built as the plain Jane military version or not.

Rob, I thought that was the whole purpose of the forum was to be a help to others and learn new techniques! If we only get half the answer what kind of help would that be? You keep right on posting there Brother! At least you have the guts to speak up when someone is in need! Thanks!Big Smile [:D]

I just listed the ones I have and the one kit I was coincidentily discussing recently. For some reason, many folks around here do not appreciate it if I answer someone's question fully.

Any way, here is a link to AMPS's website. Go to their "Kit Lists" and use the search function to find 1/24 and 1/25 scale kits. While their site is not complete and hasn't been updated in a while, it does have the Bandai kits listed.

Thanks Rob,

I'll look into those kits. I also found more kits made by Bandai in 1/24th scale. I think they made a Jadg Panther and a Panther G. I'm not sure what else they made.

Italeri does a 1:24 Willys Jeep in regular WW2 guise and as the European Fire Jeep. The Fire Jeep is the same kit except molded in red plastic and with an extra two sprues of fire fighting equipment, it still includes the antenna and canvas cover of the WW2 Jeep. Very nice kits.

I've got two Fire Jeeps, it is kit #722. I built one as the regular WW2 Jeep.

ITC also made the T-92 airborne drop tank. This kit represented the first prototype since it doesn't have the compensating idler wheel. The T-92 was designed to replace the M-41 Walker Bulldog but was cancelled when the amphibious Soviet PT-76 was introduced. The Army went with the M551 Sheridan instead.

I've got the ITC T-92. A friend of mine cast some resin ruck sacks and 5 gallon cans so I could detail the kit. Another friend is going to turn an aluminum barrel for me.

Blue Tank did a motorized Jeep kit that was boxed as 1/35 but is actually 1/24-1/25. It is the same size as my Italeri Jeep.

Revell-Monogram does TOW HMMWV (M996). This was a snap tite kit and was issued in solid green with stickers to replicate the camouflage scheme. There was a second issue in their ProFinish line with a pre-painted body. I have both kits, the ProFinish "Desert Storm" one is #1323. Here is one on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2589&item=5924696343

ITC also did the T-113E2 in 1/24 scale. This vehicle is the prototype to the M113 series APCs. I just found out about this kit about a week ago. I had a discussion with someone who has one on Hyper Scale. He sent me scans of the instructions.
