As Petbat has said, it is not the best kit, but it migth be a great learning experience. If you can, try to get your hands on a Dragon Pz IV. Any of their Pz IVs are great kits and you should find that they are all priced at about the same as the Academy kit.

Good luck

Luciano. That kit is just a copy of the old Tamiya kit. You will find that the fit is poor, particularly around the rear hull panel and exhaust. The Suspension is basic, the dampers are completely innaccurate, the under part of the hull is incorrect, the return rollers are not correct for either the rubber lined or steel version, and the overall detail is poor.

There are much better Panzer IV kits out there, if you are prepared to pay a little more. Tamiya's latter offering as well as the retooled DML J(?) being the obvious choices.

I have the kit. Quality seems to be just OK. Mine came with decals that did not match any of the options on the box top and the instructions had no schemes at all. Compared side by side with the Tamiya IV, the Tamiya seems to be a much nicer kit. That is not saying you can't make a nice kit with some AM parts. If you get it, I am curious to know- did you experiance the same decal situation that I did?

Academy Panzer IV Ausf. H with schuerzen?

I’m thinking to build a Panzer IV Ausf. H (with schuerzen) from Academy.

Wath do you think about the general quality of that kit?
Does it need any improvement with detail sets etc.?
Are there separate track links included?

Thanks,
Luciano
