Friul model and Modelkasten both make transport tracks for the tiger. Check out Hometown Hobbies and Great models. The Modelkasten tracks are getting harder to find, althouhgh there is a set on ebay right now (transport tracks.)

Friul model are atl-26
and the MK are SK-03

Hope this helps

Garth,

I forgot about model point. They are the cheapest I have found. (I have no affiliation with these hobby stores).

I think they are $20.

Modelkasten also makes these w/ the hubs that let you take off the outer road wheels, but I think the Tamiya kit also has this feature. MK may be more accurate.

BTW, you should check out out Tiger I group build on this forum. It starts 12-4-04. We'd love to have you.

Thanks,

Ted

Just a technical point here. I don't know what you are planning to use for a railcar, but the DML model of the type SSy flatcar is not suitable for a Tiger and would only be used in dire emergency situations. The 6 wheeled type SSyms (Ironside makes one) is the proper transport for these vehicles. I don't know how many times I've seen models of Panthers and Tigers put on a SSy flatcar that simply was not designed to carry that much weight.

Tank workshop makes the railcar for both the tiger and the panther. Very nice resin kits. and for what you get, not a bad price either.

Hope this helps.

Just a note about Hometown Hobbies...they no longer carry MK tracks and they've been having problems getting Friuls (if the ATL-26 aren't listed as In Stock, don't order them from HH) that they don't have in stock from their supplier. I've been waiting over 2 months now for a set of ATL-25s and ultimately cancelled the order in favor of MK-2 from Model Point.

Ordinarly HH is very good about things like this but I believe the Friul situation is due to problems with the supplier in Hungary...so if you can find a shop that has the AT-26 already in stock, jump on them with both feet. Big Smile [:D]

Aber includes them in their full kit, you may be able to get them separately, try Air Connection, they were the only place in about a four month attempt to come through on the smaller Aber 1/16 kits.

Heavy picture framing wire is a good match if you use the kit ends.
