M-36 Jackson Progress Report
Posted by Dwight Ta-ala on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 6:54 PM
My progress is very slow. :Blush [:I] Just got through the intial paint job and weathering on the hull interior. If anyone has a manual on how to keep a tank squeaky clean then kindly pass it to me. I think I need one. Big Smile [:D]

I'll keep you posted... :Tongue [:P]

Yes John. It is the Academy kit. The interior is I think the same with that of the Academy M-10. Thanks.

Very nice, what did you use for a wash?

Tigerman,

For a wash I use Tamiya Flat Black thinned with water and alcohol. The chipped paint effect was achieved by Tamiya Gun Metal randomly painted with a fine tipped brush. Dirt was simulated by a dark brown wash randomly applied to places most likely to be stepped on. A rust colored wash was also applied on some areas.

I am not yet finished with the interiors are a lot of stuff are still to be added.

Thanks.

Ya know Dwight ! everytime I come on this thread I see a different picture of your Jackson. It's like I'm being rationed. My computer buddy came by today and reassured me that it was not my computer but it has something to do with the way the pics are transmitted from the sender. What I do is hit refresh and it's kind of like a slide show I get only one pic at a time. Guess I shouldn't b*tch at least I get to view the work. Can't wait to see the dio. pic, refresh, pic, refresh, pic, refresh. I'm something else LOL. Semper fi, mike

So I guess it is your connection and ISP that's causing you all those problems. Oh well, hope things get better for you and your PC soon.

Thanks.

Looks good Dwight. It's funny how the inside of open topped german vehicles were painted in base camo, but US Vehicles were white...must have something to do with airsuperiority hey.

Looking nice so far. After building the Achilles, I hate to say that you won't see much with the top open on this one!

Pete, that's what I was thinking, too. You spend much work on the interior and see so little of it once the whole thing is done. Oh well that's probable why people say we are crazy. LOL.

Thanks.

Dwight, could you post your web address? I also got the dreaded red X, but I'd love to see your pics as I'm building the Academy Jackson for the Tank Destroyer build. Thanks, Pete

Had to go to your website to see the pics. Well worth it. That is, as usual, some outstanding work, Dwight.
