Super job. If I can ask one thing, what did you use for the cable/rope on the front bumber. I am working on a jeep and need to do the same thing. Looks very good all around. Excellent scratch built insignia flag.

Just an update, I followed your advice on the stowage, buckles, canteen etc and I must say, the model looks so much better for it. I began by detail painting the straps with Humbrol leather and painted the buckles as well. I gave the sotwage areas a wash of burnt sienna, burnt umber and lamb black mix. Once dried, I applied some earthy tone pastels. Overall, i think it looks much better than before. thanks a bunch
(i'll take some photos later in the week, if you would like to see the finished product drop me a line)

Cheers

Great job on your first attempt at armor. The weathering is good and that flag also is a nice touch. You can also go into more detailing to give it more life such as the headlights, belts that tie the tarps, the canteens.

Overall, you did a fine job.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your compliments and totally agree about the stowage. I was thinking a drak brown wash will increase the shadow effect.
The flag was made by printing my own decals and applying them to some aluminium foil. I then weathered as normal.

Thanks again for the feedback.

Welcome to the Dark Side Peter. I think you are on your way. I like the flag you made. How did you do it?

Overall it's a nice looking build Peter. Especially considering that this is a new subject area for you. Like "djmodels1999" suggested, some highlighting of some of the accessories will go along ways in enhancing the look . Thanks for sharing with us and keep up the good work. Semper fi, mike

It loks like a very nice build Peter. If I were to make one comment, I'd say you could try to paint your stowed kit (jerrycans, tarps,..) in various shades of browns, sands, greens, even greys.. I think it would give your model even more visual attraction. This is something you could still easily achieve... Use washes of different strenghts and colours (although stay with browns and sands) on each different items.

This is my latest military subject, I maily build scale auto. This was my first attempt at a DAK finish. Any positive criticism is greatly appreaciated as I've still got a lot to learn.
