I did indeed, and my LHS takes book orders as well, so I'll be getting a copy within a couple of weeks.
Thanks a lot Big Smile [:D]

Hi zokissima.
It is ZSU-23-4 SHILKA & SOVIET AIR DEFENSE GUN VEHICLES from CONCORD PUBLICATIONS. It is a good reference book in my opinion, specially because is very hard to find pictures of it.
As a bonus you receive some pictures of the ZSU57 and the new TUNGUSKA.
Here in Brazil is very hard to find this kind of book...So I don't how to compare with other publications.

Hi Gringe88!
No problem...The Shilka is a anti aircraft defense system...In a simple description it is a quadruple 23mm machine gun mounted on a tank chassis...
It was developed by the former URSS and is still in use on various countries ( I am not sure if Iraq still have theirs after the wars...LOL)
It could be compared with the german Gepard or the americans Duster and Sgt York on the function...
I hope you could understand me on my, sometimes, poor English...LOL

Folks,
About two years ago i was looking for this same resin set. What i was told was the set was never producted [at least in large numbers] because Kirin went out of buisness...greatmodels said they had been waiting for some time. apparently the molds are still out there and hopefully someone [jaguar?] will eventually market the product...hope this helps and is factual it is at least what i was told.

v/r, bw

Sorry, I haven't seen anything. But if you do decide to scratch build, do you think you can send me any of your reference shots, as I'm kind of short on anything worthwile.

Thank you guys for the reception!
I saw it advised on MARCO POLO IMPORT but I believe they are out of business now.
I could only find some 120 mm figures from KIRIN, nothing more...

kaleu, even a conversion not 100% accurate is a better starting point than built everything from the ground...Thank you very much for the advice!

Just to mention...Excuse me in advance in case of any gramatical errors...And greetings from Brazil!

I'm certain it is OOP. Your best bet is Ebay. IIRC, I do remember reading that the conversion wasn't entirely accurate if something like that is important to you.

Been looking for the interior set of one for a while. I'm not certain of any places online that sell it, but if you do find out, let us know.

KIRIN resin set - Shilka
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, October 18, 2004 8:48 AM
Hi all! I am a newbie here at the forum, but I think it is a great place to share experiences.
I have a 1/35 Shilka seated on my workbench for a long time. It is because I am looking for the interior detail set produced by KIRIN.
Does anyone know about it? I can't find anything about.
Any help will very appreciated.
