Alanger

Has anyone had any order difficulties with Alanger.us? My first order had a Luchs with a missing sprue (not their fault) so I sent it back. They were to send me a replacement. In the interim I placed another order, which they charged me for. I never received either the replacement or the new order. It's been over a month and nothing. I have e-mailed them a few times and they have responded (usually a week later) , but only to ask what my order was. I have also tried calling with no luck. It is getting a little frustrating, especially when the have my money.

Hello,

I remember your post about the Luchs. Alanger has been good for me. He's not
squadron, but he sells good stuff at good prices. Keep communicating with him, and you'll definately get your stuff.

I had a similar problem with Alanger the first time I ordered anything, and it was not the last, however, there was not a single time that I ultimately did not get my kit. It took Max a couple of weeks to reply sometimes, and usually as you said, just to ask for what my order was, but rest assured that all problems were worked out in the end.
Just give 'em a little bit of time Smile [:)]

I hope it does work out. They have great prices and Max is very nice. It is just a little concerning that the payment was taken out in the middle of September. I hate to keep bugging him, but...

Hope everything works out Jason. Have not had any experience with Alanger yet so can't comment one way or the other. I have them on my list of hobby links, so will put a caution next to them just for insurance purposes. It sounds like others have had some service problems in the past? Semper Fi, mike

Well, two weeks after the e-mail saying they would be sent three day, still nothing. I e-mailed them last week and did not receive any response. I called them yesterday and left a message, but have yet to hear. All this for two tanks!!!!!!

An update- I spoke with Max again, since I didn't get anything. He was able to give me a tracking number, so he and I are working to try to figure out where it is. It looks like UPS on his side may be the problem. He is to e-mail me to let me know. I will again keep you posted- I definitely don't want you to shy away from using Alanger if UPS is the problem!!

Well, today I came home and found a package on my porch from Alanger. I opened it and found that it only contained one of the two kits that were supposed to be sent. It did, however, contain 2 free kits (a 1/48th Mustang and a 1/72nd Russian WWII plane) stifeled the anger some. And so it continues....

I work for a mail order company and deal every day with packages that go missing in the mail. We ship US Postal Service, Fedex, and UPS, and all of them lose packages on a daily basis. I don't know if that's the case here, but do keep in mind it might not be entirely his fault. Smile [:)] And it's very frustrating to lose a customer because a third party screwed up.

I am not sure. It was my understanding that both were supposed to be shipped in the same box.
