Finished Bradley pics
Posted by Awood23 on Monday, October 18, 2004 11:07 PM
Ok here she is. I fixed all the things HeavyArty pointed out to me, I drilled out the tubes for the tow launcher (I think it looks better that way) added stretched sprue antennaes (sp) and attempted to do my own bumper number and they look awful. I may one day go back and fix these especially if I learn how to make decals but for right now this is it

Looks pretty good but it's really shiny. Is that just from the flash?

thanks every one for your kind words.
rebelreenactor: I know what you mean about the desert camo... and thanks for trying tp help out with the pics. I dont know if I'll ever figure out how to post pics :)
armydogdoc: This is Acadamy's 1/35 M3 CFV I got it off ebay for the backwards build but didnt pay attention to where I was buying iy from so I got a korean version (with instructions in Korean) Im pretty sure theres the same kit available in the states in english but Im not sure
diggeraone: believe it or not, its already weathered. For right now I dont plan on displaying it in a diorama so I wanted it to appear as if it was siiting in a motorpool hence no mud. I did dry brush chromo on alot of the areas I think would get a lot of where and tear, hinges and leading edges and such Also the tracks are painted Base coat of steel w/ flt blk pad and dry brushed with chrome and rust for weathering. I think I may have gone over board with the rust though.
claymore: Ive sprayed a coat of testors dull coat over this thing so it looks about right to me but the flash does make it worse. I have a real POS camera thats not real good at close ups :(

all in all Im really happy with how this turned out minus the bumper #'s, Im thinking about redoing them and instead of painting the number using a map pen and writing them on. Cant look any worse can it? Big Smile [:D] I guess it comes down to build what you look, like what you build. Not bad for my first armour kit I dont think :)
Thanks again guys

Nice Job! I just picked up an Academy M2 from nearby Camp Zama. At $13.50 not bad. Now I need to get a S/S In Action & maybe write my cousin who was on one during Gulf War I :) - Calvin
