M26 Pershing - It's just a pillbox now!

A couple in-progs of my Pershing. Tamiya kit with working suspension. A fun build but with a few caveats.

1) Travel lock is the T26E3/early prod. type attached directy to the exhaust. Later M26 it was attached to the rear hul plate and M26A2 had it on the engine deck.

2) Interphone for communication between infantry and crew; attached to the right rear of the rear hull plate on post WW II vehicles. I have found no evidance of it's use on war-time vehicles.

3)The kit hull ventilator (located between the driver's and radio operater's hatches) is the later large type.

4) Tracks are the early version, the Korean war type (also used on the M46/47 Patton) are not interchangeable without changing the sprockets as well. Some Pershings in Korea used the early track but most did not.

I don't know when all these changes took effect but I left off the interphone for my WW II variant.

She's coming along nicely. I've heard great things about her, contemplated one myself.
