My Diorama from Normandy
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, October 21, 2004 4:01 PM
I build this Diorama for the Tamiya con 2002, I used celluclay for the base and resin for the river, and balsa wood for the bridge, the tank are the hetzer and the panther A from Tamiya with eduard photo edge, the trees are from floral arrangements from Michael's.

Thanks Gabriel Salazar

Bow [bow]Bow [bow]Bow [bow]Your dio is fantastic! From the viewpoint of the camera I can almost hear the muted thunder of the artillery in the distance, and the squeeking of the tank tracks as they roll across the bridge.

Verrry nice work.

Thanks guys Blush [:I]Blush [:I]Blush [:I] the trees: I buy floral arrangements of different kind and colors at Michael's arts and craft store and then cut them to the right size for my diorama and that's it.

Thanks for your comments to all...

Great! Thanks for posting the additional pics. Gives me enough insight as to how to proceed with my own bridge Smile [:)]
Good idea with the floral arrangements. I really should check out Michaels for that.

Great dio Gabriel. I wonder how many times we've probably walked past one another at Michaels? Do you go too the one in Chula Vista? Semper Fi, mike

YW18MC : Yes that's the one, the one in chula vista, I use to work in that store 3 years ago, that's why I know where's everything, Wink [;)] are you in the san diego IPMS club? , I'm in a club in Tijuana and sometimes I go to the meeting in san diego ipms.

And we are having a Minicontest this month you are invited if you like to go, I'll take some friends from the San Diego IPMS to Tijuana, I'll pick them up in chula vista and bring them back , because they are going to be judges, so if you like to go bring some models(no charge in the contest) you are welcome.

Gabriel. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, had a wedding and other family things that took me away from the forum. I really appreciate the offer to visit your IPMS club in Tijuana. I don't belong too the San Diego chapter of IPMS but have been giving it some thought. I'd really like to meet you personnally as we are neighbors and have the same interests. Please feel free to contact me @ 619-423-6111 Looking forward to meeting you. Semper Fi, mike
