As one of those "guys who worked on 'em", it was a piece of junk.

Crews constantly forgot to uncouple (or re-couple) the articulation joint between the units & it broke, so they ran around with it locked down. Brake lines, U-joints, etc, were all part-numbered items & did not match the Tech Manual. I spent two days underneath one of them with a flashlight, notebook, and TM until I had documented everything so we had a reasonable chance of ordering the right part. Even if working, their mobility wasn't that great, and it was just too easy to break.

The Gama Goat was in service about the same time as the other nightmare, the Goer.

And, oh yes, staff duty officers hated the Gamma Goat -- the duty drivers would wheel up in one of them just to screw up our starch climbing in & out of 'em <grin> !!!!

Hi Gino,
Many thanks for your reply.
Hopefully something will come out in the future. I am sure it will.
Cheers.

This question has come up before. Result was no other kits out there. Apparently there was one in 1/35 in resin at some point in the past, but no one had or could find one. Sorry, hope there is something out there in the future, it is a neat little vehicle.

Hello,
After an enjoyable ride in a Gama Goat at the Muckleburgh Collection
( http://www.muckleburgh.co.uk/home.htm and see the ride section) in Norlfolk (England) I thought it would be nice to get a model.
I have the HO 1/87 Roco Minitanks model but am not sure if anyone makes one in 1/35 or 1/72 & 1/76 scale.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Cheers
Richard
