Hey Dwight,
Thanks for sharing your techiques and ideas, I also appreciate the advice you give other modelers. I've been building for more than seven years and feel like I am "stuck" using the same techniques repeatedly, thanks to you and alot of other guys on this forum and others I now try using different techniques. When I said I was stealing your ideas I meant it as a compliment to you.
Thanks Again..

Tigerman, Mike: You are too kind. I am starting to blush. LOL. Thanks again. Your words are very heart-warming.

1Shifter: Hey don't worry, I don't call it stealing. We all get ideas from other modelers. I for one got a lot of ideas from around here. This is what the forum is here for...to be a venue for sharing ideas. Hope you post pics, too. Thanks and have fun in your build.

Thanks for the suggestion guys. Actually you have good points there. I have yet to fully finish the weathering on the lower hull as I usually wait for the groundwork. I'd like to match the weathering of the lower hull.

I will take your suggestions into account. You can count on that. My only problem is that I may not have empty ammo casing at this time.

I did start on the tracks last night but I am leaving the thing off to dry before proceeding.

Be done with the thing this weekend...I hope.

Dwight, great work man! aRE YOU GOING TO THROW SOME EMPTY SHELL CASINGS AROUND TO LIVEN HER UP? The weathering is subtle, but not to the point of being over bearing. Again, impressive.

I can't really chime in with my 2 cents worth of criticism, because there's not that much wrong with it.

I really like te overall look of the paint. I think it really captures the appearance of a weatherbeaten vehicle. The tools with thier wooden handles look excellent as well.

My only quibbling point, worth 1/2 a cent or so, is that the rubber on some of the road wheels seems a bit too black in the photos. Maybe a light coating of dust might be in order.

All in all, an excellent vehicle. Can't wait to see it when it is finished. Thumbs Up [tup]

Great work Dwight. Please tell me you're going to throw some major stowage on that thing. Somehow it just wouldn't look right otherwise Smile [:)]
One thing: IN the second pic from the top, you can see some metal showing through between the front and side hull sides.
Wouldn't it be prudent that if the thing is so banged up to have the fenders show some wear and tear as well?

Wow, that's some convincing weathering. I'm sure it will look even more worn/dirty after the 2nd. I I'm looking forward to seeing interior shots too. Great looking Destroyer

Thanks for sharing. I have the Acadamy one still laying by my workbench ready to be build. But were is the time?

The hull is not fixed yet since I still have some things to do with the interiors.

This is also the Academy kit and it is very nice IMHO.

Thanks.

Joe: Thanks for the nice words.

John: I agree with you. It would be foolish to seal it off after working hard on the inside. Thanks again.

Jason: I guess it will. The kit came with a few but I think I still have some Tamiya stuff in my spares box. Thanks.

John:

I had some pics of the interiors but those were a bit too dark. The upper hull and the lower hull have not been fixed yet since I still have somethings to do with the interior. I will be getting better pics of the inside once I am finished with it. And I will be leaving all hatches open when done.

Thanks.

After first round of weathering here's how she looks: Sorry the pics are a bit dark. My big desk lamp has been knocked out and I have to use the small one. Tongue [:P]

Still need to fix some things inside as well as some stowage. Your comments and suggestions are very much welcome. Smile [:)]
