Coke cans will work well, I think. Thin styrene sheet will work and so will something like a cut up aluminum pie tin (the disposable kind). If you want a bunch to work with, pick up a disposable aluminum turkey roasting tin. There's enough metal there to build a whole battalion of Tigers.

My LHS carries brass and aluminum metal pieces including tube (for barrels), L and I beams (great for Dioramas), and flat pieces. Pieces of flat brass or aluminum like these would work very well.

I have seen models where lead foil was used to replicate the exhaust shields. They are easy to bend and dent. The guy burnished them over the original pieces. I don't know how well that would work for the skirts, though

After making the skirts what am I to use for the bolt detail?

I believe there are a variety of aftermarket bolt heads. Resin I think . You could also nip off some styrene rods and sand them to the desired shape.

I've been using Grandt Line bolts, they're resin and work real well. I just leave the connecting nub on the bolt and then drill a small hole for it on the vehicle. A tiny drop of super glue and the nub goes in the hole. Bolt head ends up flush and a bunch of sanding on a tiny part wasn't necessary.

I've read in many model magazines about grandt line bolts but I'm on a Extremly tight budget and I don't no if I can buy after market parts!

My side skirts are looking excellent with the aluminium being easy to create battle damge on and making the design more realistic but i"m still having the problem of finding some bolts to add to it can anyone help?
