I just got the Tamiya kit. At first glance it looks like a nice kit. I am looking for any info you guys can provide me about the usual questions. Fit of the pieces, any major discrepancies with the details etc.....
Thanks for the help in advance.

I believe I read somewhere there is a height problem with it. I will see if I can find that link

Under the construction portion it mentions "the legendary extra height"

Shape is fine. The issue is with the height of the hull. Tamiya used a museum tank for its measurements. The tank they used had been stripped of its interior; engine, transmission and crew compartments. This takes quite a bit of weight off the tank and it allows the suspension to rise up. The Tamiya suspension needs to be lowered about 2.5mm to be correct.
Here is a link to an article that explains the tweaks you can do on the kit.

Best place for M48/60 info. Tamiya kit is a decent kit. Tracks need to be replaced if you are an accuracy nut. You will notice the center guides do not straddle two adjacent track pads, they are centered in the middle of each track block.
