Go for it!!! With Evergreen styrene, brass bits from Special Shapes,
Gauntlet nuts&bolts,& scrouge up some cable&screening,I
believe you can create a truly unique model!! Also lots of 1:25
stuff out there for cars&trucks...
Just think,NOBODY else will have one quite like YOURS!!

Wow, a 1/25 Tiger. Where'd you get ahold of one of those?

Looks nice! But then I don't know Tigers well enough to spot any inaccuracies. How big are they in 1/25?

If you find ANY aftermarket parts in 1/25 scale, please let me know!

You're absolutely right about the inaccuracies with the ol' Tamiya kit. I've built two of them, twenty years apart, but only discovered the "problems" the second time around. I still love that old kit, though! With no aftermarket support, it's up to you to be as creative as you can. I detailed up the interior as best I could with plastic, metal, and spare parts, and did the same with the exterior, using leftover PE and whatever else I felt came close to looking good. With a little TLC, it can turn into a decent looking Tiger, for sure!

Here's a few pix of the more recent build (and that was still 6 years ago!):

Be sure to show us pix of your build, Steve!

I posted a week ago as I was very proud of myself that I located the old Tamiya 1/25th Tiger 1. I'm about 25% into the build and I'm not so excited anymore. When I built this kit back in the seventies , it was state of the art and a big attention getter in the Tamiya catalog. Now, I see all the innaccuracies in the kit, and with an acute shortage of aftermarket stuff in 1/25th out there, I'll just have to buck up and deal with it, I guess.

I am super detailing the interior -adding scratch built details and such. It should be an attractive model when I'm done, but it is a real "time machine" showing how far the hobby has advanced, comparing it with today's expectations. I have searched, just to let the team know that I'm not lazy, but I haven't found a whole lot of 1/25th armor accessories out there.
