Well, if at all possible, I want to avoid using the M-163 kit to build a M-167A1/A2. Too much work from my perspective. I've got stacks of manuals for both systems and an excellently restored "Gate Guard" version of a M-167A2 in front of my armory back in Grand Forks ND. Never thought of getting a Gamma Goat to go along with it! That would be sweet!

I've found two possible sources of kits, one from Hobby Fan - but now way to order, and the second from the link that khkrohn posted. Still no ordering information.

Thanks for all of the replies!

Hey! Great idea, using the M-163 kit as a basis for the M167A1! That would look great towed behind a Gamma Goat! (now if someone would just produce a 1:35 scale Gamma Goat...)

BTW, I have the operator's manual for that weapons system, so if you need any info, give me a holler.

Check out squadron.com and type in "M113" in the keyword search. You will find that Academy makes the kit with the vulcan cannon. Verlinden publications has a softcover book that has some excellent close up photos of the M163 A1/A2 in case you are interested. Best of luck.

I was doing a search for M167 and found this hobby show:

There is a picture of a vulan about halfway down the page on the left. All the text is in japanese but it does give hope that something is on the way.

I do recall seeing a Hobby Fan kit. Have you searched Ebay for it?

BTW, the 20mm towed Vulcan is the M167A1/A2. The M163A1 is the one on an M113A2 chassis.

Does anybody know where one could find the towed version of the M163A1 Vulcan in 1/35 scale? Seems that a resin one was produced by Hobby Fan, but I can't seem to find the kit any where.
