We seem to be following one another around today. I would have started mine, but I'm determined to get three loose builds finished up first, that way my mind will be clear, so to speak. I also have this Hellcat I wanted to start and I dropped out of the Bulge build and it keeps beckoning me to start it.

Jason, you are ahead of me on the AM goods. Well Ted and Jason, that is a thought on the Group Build. I'll see what kind of response there is.

IF you allow it to include the Ferdinand, I am also in (already have the kit and AM goodies!)

Tigerman, I would like to do an Elefant GB. Kinda like the Tiger I GB. Not a huge variety of kits to choose from. I would imagine if you started a thread here on it, it would take off like hotcakes. Sign me up.

Ted, nice couple of kits, I got them both. Still waiting to do my Elefant. Maybe we could get a group build going next year. Tongue [:P]

Keep checking back- they may hit the Armor Accessories yet! Today, the armor sale ended and was replaced with 1/48th aircraft accessories. And there will naturally be room for Wingie-thingie builders in the model pad- in the Wing Thing Wing

Looks like I'm not the only one having a problem placing an online order. Same thing--wouldn't accept my password and no one there to answer the phone. Oh well, I've got too many kits already, and because I couldn't place an order, I saved a bundle of cash which can now go toward a new HDTV.

Well, I bought the Elefant I have been wanting and a Tamiya Early Sherman. What a great sale. Hard not to spend even more. Now if they would put their AM stuff on sale.

yw18mc, you could try and set up a new account. That way you could take advantage of the sale.

Yah, he's a good guy. Big Smile [:D] Sorry to hear of your ills Mike. I for one will be happy when this sale is over, I didn't need anymore kits, but with prices like that, I just had too. I feel like a squirrel saving up for the winter.

Well...maybe they just won't honor any orders placed after the cut-off time. Or fill the orders that were on time first, then fill late orders as stock will allow! Hmmm?

I don't understand how they can have a sale that expires on Sat 11/06 and there is no one to man the phones too accept orders? I tryed placing my order through the online service and I'm having problems getting it recognize my username!! Me and these darn computers, always something tripping me up. Got the "Empress" working on the problem. Just to ensure that I get the sale price on my items, I sent customer service an e-mail describing my problem so if I don't succeed in getting my order placed maybe they'll grant me a hardship exception. Ya know, computer dummy can't place order online?? This is all Woodbecks3 doings. He's ok for a wingie guy though. Semper Fi, mike

I've been loading up the shopping cart with something different every day that this sale goes on. Today, it was 4 kits...a Stug III C/D, Ba-20, Bison I, and a Ferdinand.

You've got to love sale season!

Ordered Tamiya's Cromwell and the M2A2 Bradley. Now I got final link to the big three used in ODS and OIF. I gave up on the Crusader. Oh well. I was going to order a Tiger, but figure Dragon might release one with more goodies.

Thanks for the heads up, I ordered a few Panthers.

A modeling pad...that's actually not a bad idea...Imagine the workshop in that bad boy!!!

I'm lucky in that I don't have a wife to bug me about spending money, I do have a G/F but she thinks I should spend a lot on models. Go Figure. She's of the "if that's what makes you happy" philosophy.

Life is good. Now if I can just get home...

Sorry Glenn, they do not. I have the early G and it has the blasted rubberbands. If I'm correct and that's why I asked for help, the Tiger I's are the only kits to have indies. You can buy King Tiger indies seperate as well as Panther tracks.

The sale includes three Tamiya Panther G kits, a 'early' G, a 'steel wheel' G and a 'late' G. Does anyone know if any of these have individual track links! Don't mind doing 'indie' links!!

Thank you Mike, I thought so. Sorry to hear she (ahem) cut you off. You need to tell her Christmas is around the corner. I'm lucky so to speak, wifey buys what she darn pleases and that opens the doors for me. I need to think about it, because Dragon will no doubt release a Mi-Pro with aluminum barrel and PE grilles. Oh this isn't fair. What to do?

perhaps we can all pool our money and get a "model pad" where we can go when the wives and girlfriends banish us!

Eric. I recently purchased a mid production and it has the indy links in it. There really not bad looking either. I've got them sitting here next to the fruiels I bought for the early Tiger GB and have to say they are worthy of using. Also I've been on the Greatmodels web page looking at all the great deals they have going on right now. The "Empress" says I'm over expended for the month. Curses!!! She just don't feel my pain. Take it easy. Semper Fi, mike

Hey Tigerman!
Darn it! I read your note about the GreatModel sale! And, of course, ordered a couple of Steyr's and a Horch! My wife is going to be so pleased! Can I move in with you if she kicks me out?

Glad to be of service Jason. I thought all the updated Tamiya Tigers had indies. Please help anyone else.

I did the mid pro and it had indies. I boguth mine a few years back and just got to it, but unless they reissued it with rubber bands, it should have the indies. By the way- Thanks to your post, I finally ordered the Tasca Luchs 4th div. for a mere $38!! Thanks Tigerman

Ouch, that may change my mind. I'm sure Dragon will come out with one soon, since they are making a late. That will save some money.

Nope. I believe the only Tamiya Tiger with indies is the late.

I'll look in my mid box when I get home, but I'm pretty sure they are rubber band tracks. Remember, I got a set of MKs for mine and don't think I would have done that if they'd been indies.

Catch you later.
Have a great weekend.
