The new DML kits are coming out with one piece vinyl tracks. At least their Russian Sherman did have them. I think the new 3 in 1 halftracks are supposed to have indy links and some type of new tracks.

Alot of work, but so worth the effort IMHO. Once you get a few under the belt, they just get easier.

DML is a really nice way to learn how to work with seperate tracks!
Good luck with the rest of the model!

Doing indy links for Allied tanks can be more labor intensive than doing the same for Axis tanks for sure. Now if you really want torture, try building indy links on a Kettenkrad or one of the half-tracks...they have two links and the steel foot "pad" per link. Wink [;)]

Still great fun to build them though, I personally prefer indy links to rubberband any day.

Thanks guys,I'm just about done with the tracks.Simply because the parts fit the way they are supposed to I have to say I've enjoyed the kit so far. It's just satisfying seeing all these parts look the way they are supposed to.I'm just itching to paint the sucker.

The DML kits I've built didn't have seperate track teeth, just the individual link itself! But then the kits I'm building are 'Axis' AFV's. Am currently working on the Dragon Hornisse!

No, some separate link tracks actually only use one piece per block. Others, like the Dragon VVSS Sherman kits use 3 per block. That type uses one for the pad and the end connectors are separate.

AFV Club makes working separate track links for the Dragon M-46.

I'm currently building the Dragon M-46 Patton. It's my first go at separate link tracks. It's a slow prcess, but I actually enjoy watching those tracks eventually wrap around the wheels. The only problem I have with this kit is THE SEPARATE TRACK TEETH!This is truly a pain in the a$$!Please tell me not all separate link kits are like this!

Thanks
