Help with misque....Please!
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, May 10, 2003 10:44 AM
I am building tamiya 1/35 Hanomag and I made a blunder. I broke the drive wheel on one of the track systems and I cannot get a bond good enough to hold the wheel back in place. I have tried to move the wheel closer to the road wheels, but it makes the tracks sag and looks awful. What can I do ? Sad [:(]Sad [:(]Sad [:(]

Hi,

Did you try to put an axle in your wheel? Drill a little hole and fit an axle made with electric wire. Some super-glue and here it is !!!!! Smile [:)]

Pierre's idea is the best, drill a hole in the hull and the drive wheel then super glu a short piece of paper clip in the holes. Tracks on an sdkfz 251 are supposed to ride on the top of the road wheels so a little sag is okay.

Thanks for the help. I used a fabric pin from my wife's Evil [}:)] sewing kit. I cut off the head and drilled a small hole in either side. The glue is still setting but I am sure it will be a good hold! Thanks!

Did you use CA glue for that Richard? It would probably work better than tube glue. And don't worry, we won't tell your wife.
