I'm late on the trigger today, but I have to agree the Academy 50cal set is alot of bang for your buck.

Okay folks thanks for the help!

I think that Academy set looks like the way to go. Now I just need to find it.

Go with the Academy US Machinegun set ( #1384) . It sells for around $7 and you get 4 50 cals and 2 30",. You also get extra barrels, ammo cans , and tripods with mount brackets

Skybow does a relatively cheap plastic .50 cal that was sold in a small bag. It was the small sprue from their Beep weapons carrier and M38A1 Jeep. Ran around $5.

Academy has some nice 50 cals in a weapons set. Both modern and WW2 era. There are some metal ones available, made by Brass Collectors (I think the name is correct). They are probably the best, but can be hard to find.
Erik "Don't fruit the beer." Newest model buys: More than I care to think about. It's time for a support group.

Trakz makes some resin 50's. GreatModels shows 'in-stock' for $11.20, two guns per box.

I never used aftermarket 50 cals, but I keep seeing a verlinden set at my local hobby shop. It's resin and photo etch, and makes 2 guns.

After market 50cals??

Okay guys working on Tamiyas venerable M-41 Walker Bulldog kit that I bought yesterday for 5 bucks.

I wasn't going to get to fussed about detailing it as i just wanted to build OOB and for the most part its a pretty good liitle kit.

However I just can't bring myself to put that horrible 50cal MG on it. *shudders*

So whats a good AM set for 50cals??

Any suggestions would be great!!
