Perth Military Modelling Site has put up a reveiw of the "new" (upgraded) Academy M1A1Iraq, 2003 kit. It looks to be a mediocre kit with some new upgrades, but many of the problems of the older kit left in this version. Biggest problem is the inclusion of the original T156 rubber chevron tracks. Does come with new rear sprockets with lightening holes and new scalloped sprocket. Can be built as US Army and USMC versions. Here it is:

I heard some bad things about the Academy M1A1 kit a couple of weeks ago. I bought the cheaper Trumpeter one, and it's not a bad kit. Kind of strange to see Academy release something so mediocre, especially with their current push of more accurate miniatures...
