Walkarounds
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 8:29 PM
I was out at Ft. Sill today and had a chance to drop by the museum for a few minutes and make some pics. I have a few walkarounds (smaller than I would like - but still decent I think) if anyone has a place to post them. List Below:

Type 92 70mm Howitzer Japanese
M119 105mm Howitzer
M-7 105mm Howitzer Motor Carriage
Unidentified Truck with Missile and Launcher - will send pics to anyone familiar with such - I haven't had time to research it yet, and won't have for a week
A few pics of what looks like to me a Crusader (prototype? - I have been out of the loop for a while)

I can get quite a few more walkarounds of artillery pieces there if anyone is interested - including a German 88, Atomic Annie, and several prototype Artillery pieces (some never put into production.) If you are interested, let me know

My email is KDSeymour@sbcglobal.net

Go to the general modelling discussion forum and click on the sticky topic about Ron's site. Ron has a site and allows modellers to post pictures of their models and reference pictures. I have some pictures from FT. Knox that I hope to post on his website soon. It's mostly from the storage area as inside the museum is too dark for good pictures.

First, can someone identify this piece of equipment? I found it and just do not have time for a while to ID it.

I should be putting the walkarounds up pretty quick - it will take me a while to rename the files as they are between 10 and 25 shots of each subject.

Thanks for the assist guys - I appreciate the kindness to a noob!

Put up 11 pics of the Crusader I found sitting in a parking lot by the artillery museum at Ft. Sill yesterday. I would appreciate comments and any requests for different angles or closeups can be forwarded to my email address. I should be heading that way again in a few days (hopefully!)

D'oh, if only I knew. I found a book a couple of days ago that outlined almost every piece of fighting equipment used in the world, since the days of WWI. Unfortunately, I didn't buy it. As a reference, it was fairly useless, as there was only one pic.
I distinctly saw a pic of this vehicle, but cannot remember for the life of me what it's called.

The unidentified truck/Missile launch vehicle is the M289 with the Honest John Tactical Nuclear Rocket

Look for the walkarounds on primeportal.net - Don Busak was kind enough to host those and said he should have them up soon!
