Sometimes our young peolpe surprise me in a positive manner. There was a Veterns Day assembly today at our local middle school. Early on in the planning there wasn't many volunteers to do the assembly. Some 6th graders stepped up and said they would do the assembly. The assembly was wonderful. They arranged for a Girl scout Color guard. They had the schools Orchestra, Band, and Choruses playing together. There was a slide show on the history of Armestice day. A poem written by a Canadian Major about Flanders Fields and the signafince of poppies in remembering those who have died fighting. The students attending the assembly had never been better behaived. I salute those that remembered in such a honorable way.
