It is very late here but I just finished this thing and wanted to throw it out there. Its my first attempt at a lot of things but mainly its my first attempt at using my airbrush in over 15 years, wasn't used a lot back then either. My biggest problem was trying to use my finer nozzle (pasche H) with the acrylics. Paint kept drying and clogging the nozzle. I use model master acrylics. Will using their house brand thinner help keep it from drying? Think I read that somewhere. Anyway I tried some enamels but got the mixture too thin and well... it was a learning experience. Also used a flat(?) clear coat which isn't exactly flat and I got it on a little heavy. Anyway to scuff this up and flatten it out? Any comments or suggestions welcome. Off to Zzz [zzz]!

Well, I must say that it turned out pretty darn good. only prob i can spot is the glossy surface you talked about. What did you use for a flat coat? Try spraying it again with a 50/ 50 mixture. If you are having troubles with mixtures, I recommend getting the Model Master paint mixing set. It comes with some empty bottles and some eye droppers.
When I mix I suck the paint up with the dropper and then put it over the siphon cup or bottle and squeeze out drops one at a time. When I do this i count the drops. Then I repeat the process with thinner. so if i have 10 drops of paint in the bottle then I know I have to put 10 drops of thinner in the bottle for a 50/50 mixture.

well, I hope this helps. Looking foreward for more!
