A7V Paint schemes?
Posted by Abdiel on Friday, November 12, 2004 11:26 AM
Can anybody give me a good reference for the A7V Sturmpazerwagen paint schemes?

I'm building the Emhar 1/72 model and I'm having a little trouble getting good references...thanks!

Here's to get you started!

http://www.landships.freeservers.com/WW1camo.htm

The Landship site also has two very good and interesting articles on the A7V, including a very good review of the 1/72 Emhar ki.

I built one not too long ago! Looking forward to seeing yours!

If you are interested in some walkaround pics, I took some of 'Mephisto' the only remaining A7V in the world, here in Queensland, Australia (Munster's is a replica) and sent them to Tanks2scale for free posting. Site is: http://www.seedwiki.com/page.cfm?doc=Tanks2Scale&wikiid=92

You will need to start a free account to view their pics....but it is worth the couple of minutes as they have heaps of stuff to look over.

The Emhar kit is not of vehicle 506 Mephisto, but it is interesting to compare anyway.

Thank you very much gentlemen!

DJ, the link you posted is just the ticket form this novice! Peter, maybe it's where I'm logged on from (the local public library), but I wasn't able to "see" any of the pics I clicked on, which is a shame because I was looking forward to seeing the A7V you have on the site.

Cheers!

abdiel....you have to sign up first - it's free.

If you still have no luck, drop me an email and I will send them to you - there are 29 pics in all, all close ups as the vehicle is in a perspex enclosure and distance shots are blurred by it, and shrubbery around it prevents full vehicle pics anyway.
