Go to the Group Builds section. Loads of tips and photos of kits in various states of construction. You'll learn a lot just from browsing through it - I did!

Hello!
I didn't know what a group build was , until recently . I think it's a great idea. The wealth of knowledge in here is limitless. Good people in here, willing to answer everyone's questions! " Ask , and you shall receive. "

So far this year, the only kits I completed were G.B's. It's a great way to make friends and share common info. Lot's of positive reinforcement too.

doesn't have to be the same model-can be an topic...equipment used at a specific battle/specific theater, etc.

lots of fun and a great way to learn, both techiniques & history, if you get involved in a 'historic" gb, i.e., battle of the bulge, battle of britian, pacific theater gb, etc.

Group builds are kind of like a bunch of modelers getting together in the basement of a church (or somewhere) and all working on the same model at the same time. Thereby being able to talk through problems and discoveries and comparing one with another. Except, of course, it's done long distance.

And there are no stupid questions...That's how we all learn.

a thread is started on a subject for a build with start and stop dates and restrictions.... Users sign up and announce what they are building for the subject and post their progress and their results.
