Today I recive my jordi rubio gun barrel for my Jagdtiger, I just paint the model and remove the salt rocks for the chiping effect.....I think looks good for my 1970's aberdeen diorama, I'm working right now in the heavy wash.....I hope you like it......

Paint with model master acrilics...

Here's the rust from testors 1185.....

My inspiration the 331 in aberdeen and I did the 332.....

I'll post more pictures...promise....Big Smile [:D]

That's pretty effective Gabriel, you been hanging around the Wingy forum haven't you? Wink [;)] I'm looking forward to trying it on my wingies someday. How easy was it? It s very effective on armor also.

If I remember correctly, after applying a base coat of silver or a metal color and letting dry, the salt is put on wet. After that dries color is applied, left to dry, and then the salt is removed. Looks good on a/c, never seen it done on armor. May have to try this on the scout car that's next in line.Romelio, good work on your build. Post some pics when you have the barrel done. Nice technique.
Didn't lizardquing do a Marder III using this technique. If it's not him (but I seem to remember it being him), the effect achieved was superb.

Hmmm sounds like an intriguing way to produce an "ambush" scheme as well...

Nice work on this one, keep us posted as make progress.

Gdarwin: I paint the Jagdtiger first with Testors 1185 Rust a let it dry for two days, after that I apply the salt, mixing water with the salty rock, and then with a fine brush I apply the salt to the model then let it dry for 6 hours and then apply the ambush camo....You can check the process in my web page in proyects I and II ... www.jagdtiger-45.50megs.com

And thanks guys for your comments..!!! Big Smile [:D]Smile [:)]Wink [;)]
