ST-26 ready for some paint...!
Posted by djmodels1999 on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 6:26 AM
Here we are, construction is now done, and I'm ready for a coat of primer and subsequent Soviet green paint...

Everything is glued in place. This may cause problems in the near future, but I felt that adding the bridge later would probably cause problems of its own, ie glue over paint and the like. This way, I know I'll have to be careful, particularly in the drybrushing stage. With 6 attachment points, it's fairly robust in any case...

For those who haven't followed the earlier stages, this is a 1936ish Soviet ST-26 bridgelayer based upon Mirage's 1/72 T-26 kit (which I highly recommend!).

Oooh, so nice and detailed. Can't imagine the real size of the thing, as the pics look like it's a 1/35 offering.
BTW, a little off topic, but do you think you can give some pointers regarding how you take the pics?
I tried to take a few with a borrowed digicam, but they turned out all blurry and messy.

Zok, thanks for your comment. Much appreciated. As to your question, well, let's just say I'm probably not the best person to give advice on photography... I use a Nikon CoolPix 775, with the macro on for my (generally small) models. I think the 775 is no longer available (heck, it's at least 2 years old now!! LOL). I shoot with the highest quality setting and I get great results with it; however, when I transfer my images onto Ron's gallery, I still seem to lose some quality. The images on my PC or printed from my PC are far superior...
