M16 AA halftrack, grungy and snowy
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 8:06 AM
Well, here's my M16 AA for my bulge dio..... I was going for the wintery-dirty look and would like some critisism.... I noticed I have to finish the paint job behind the front wheels and reattach a small headlight cover on the front passenger side, but wanted to put up the pic........

I am wondering if I overdid it on the grunge look, but I wanted to give a feeling on this as it's been through quite a bit.

thanx

Lol, now THAT is one dirty car, an dI couldn't like it more Big Smile [:D]
Just one thing I'd like to point out. IN the third pic, the wheel wells look quite....clean. I'd slap on a major layer of grime on the inside of these wells, as right now they look quite disconnected from the rest of the vehicle.

Bravo! That is very, vey nice! And no, you didn't over do it- at all.
I agree with zokissima, that wheel well looks way to clean.
Did you use the chalk pastel white wash?

good job.

tankergeoff: I think the paint and weather outside is perfect! Cool [8D] the only thing I noticed is the chassis ( under the fenders) this part is so clean...[:0] put some more mud inside the fenders.....I think? but the rest is so perfect! Keep on the good work!!Big Smile [:D]

thanks...... actually, rebel i used regular tamiya flat white and flat earth and had a ball............ I noticed as I took the pics that the undercarriage needed some more work, but after the 4-foot fall it took off my workbench last night and the hour i spent at 4 am putting it back together, i overlooked that....Blush [:I]

Nice job on the weathering from what I can tell! The thumbs won't expand, they claim they are "unavailable due to temporary maintenance". Big Smile [:D]

Other then the wheelwells which are already aware of you've got a pretty good winter look about it. Your M16 should look good in your dio plan. Semper Fi, mike
