Nice to see some more small scale stuff. They look great!

Gdarwin, they are 1/72 scale. I have one of each of those as well. They don't look as good though.

Nice pair! The bases are perfect and they certainly look like they belong together. Thumbs Up [tup]

Great stuff! Love the Sheridan. That Airfix kit was one of my very first and favourite!

I know, I meant that the individual vehicle represented by my model (i.e the decal markings and paint scheme) is a test vehicle based in the USA in the 1960s.
I believe that the M551 version represented by the Airfix kit is an earlier, pre-Vietnam type anyway, it does not
have the cupola armour shields usually found on Vietnam-based M551s, and there are probably other differences which I
haven't spotted or just don't know about :)

They look pretty good. Sheridan was used in Vietnam, pretty extensively. So, your dio is correct that they could both be together.

Small-scale Sheridan and M113

These are two small-scale US AFVs from the 60s/70s which I've completed recently - Airfix's M551 Sheridan and the M113 ACAV
by JB Models.
The Sheridan isn't actually a Vietnam-era vehicle (it's an evaluation/prototype vehicle from the mid-60s according to the instruction sheet) but I thought they made a good "mini-diorama" together.
The "muddy track" diorama base is actually from the Matchbox Diamond-T tank transporter kit. (These bases are -very- useful for displaying models at shows and meetings, not just the models that they were originally supplied with either!)
