                        On a couple of pictures I've seen, there is a scope of some sort mounted off the back of the 50 cal on some Hummers. Is it optical, thermal, or night vision? Or are they even standard issue?

                        Post a picture if you can and I'll let you know. There are several different sights that we use - depending on unit and mission. My guess is that you are probably seeing a night vision device.
