Dragon Schwerer Plattformwagen

I'm building this now but I can't find any photos of one anywhere. The moldings on the kit don't match the box artwork, so there's one strong sign that this kit isn't up to par on accuracy. Has anybody come across anything in the internet, or do you have photos you'd be willing to share with me? I'd be grateful!

I'm sure I can find some photos for you, just give me a bit of time to root them out.

Humm.... after a quick look through 3 books on German armored trains, I can't seem to find a photo of an SSy. That means the photos I'm thinking of are in one of my German armor books. Just exactly which one out of close to 500 books is the question. Dunce [D)]
I've seen some pretty nice books on German railraods during WWII, but they appear to be in the $45-80 range. Sorry, but I'm just not interested in trains enough to get them.
I'll keep looking, there are some in this mess somewhere. Tongue [:P]

Your collection sounds enviable. I doubt that many of those books are even available here in Poland, although we do have a good deal of materials at hand. I do a good deal of scratch modifications to my models, and although I'm not a rivet counter, I do like the model to more or less acurately depict the original, and it seems that this Dragon is lacking or "enhanced." I'll see if I can't locate an actual Köln that might have survived the last half century in Poland. If I find one, I'll post a walk around. Thanks for looking!

P.S. Do you have a gallery online where I could take a look at your work?

If you do find something, let us know. I have two of these kits waiting to be built.

I lurk around Armorama too, though I don't post much there. I have a few of my models there in my personal gallery. My callsign is Paska. (look it up in a Finnish dictionary for a little chuckle).

Hmm. A shitey-smelly-scaring-away-the-dragons tree... You're a complex character if ever I saw one ;) The pictures look great! Could it be that some of them were published? Looks like some magazines were scanned! Maybe one of these I'll have that honor, too.

Ah, but it is what the Peridexion tree symbolizes that is the enigma, not the literal interpretation, Paradeisos......but that's on another forum.....Wink [;)]
Googled that didn't you? Either that or you have studied medieval bestiaries. You don't find me in the dictionaries.
Thanks for the accolades. As a matter of fact, I did get my Paska published in Great Scale Modeling 2004. Look for my signature in this year's issue, I think.....I hope...Blindfold [X-)]

I have gotten a hold of a line drawing that appeared in a Polish modeling magazine years ago, but it's not very clear. you can take a look at it here:

Thanks for the links. The line drawing will be useful in some minor detailing, and finished pics are always good, as they give me an idea of what to work towards.
