Best zimmerit solution for DML King Tiger - Prosche turret
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, December 2, 2004 8:22 AM
I received the Cavalier zimmerit set for DML King Tiger - Porsche turret. I found it not so good like other Cavalier products, like the zimm set for Tamiya Tiger I late pro kit I got some time ago. I'm wondering which is the best product on the market to reproduce the zimmerit coating for that DML kit ...I would avoid the putty scratch-built coating...

Thanks.

Atak Model, a Polish company, makes resin Zimmerit for the Dragon King Tiger. They have their own website at: http://www.atakmodel.com.pl/

Thanks to all.
I'll try the Atak set; I still prefer resin zimm rather than PE one.. but it's just my opinion...

Thanks again.

I've got the Atak set for the Porsche. It looks real nice. Instructions are virtually nil! Very generic. But shouldn't be a real problem. Will take a bit of pre-build time to make sure the kit pieces that match the resin pieces aren't accidently glued on. There are a lot of small pieces in the set. It includes a full turret and mantlet.

Good luck with it.
