Metal barrels manufacturers

I'm looking for alluminium gun barrels for some models (Tamiya Tiger I early, Tamiya King Tiger Henschel, Dragon King Tiger Porsche) ...I never purchesed alluminium barrels previously, so I'm wondering which manufacturer I have to choose among Aber, Eduard, Elefant, Jordi Rubio... suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I have the Aber barrel for the Tiger early and it is fantastic. It has 13 pieces including photoetched. I have the CMK Czech Masters for the King Tiger. It is nice but the resin parts have a lot of flash and need cleaned up a bit. I also have a couple other CMK Czech masters that I haven't used yet, but they look good.

I love the aber barrels. They are a kit unto themselves. Alot of extra detail that is missing from a 1 piece barrel.

In my last shipment received from GreatModels I ordered two barrels from Eduard, #34005 for the Tamiya Tiger I, and #34017 for the Tamiya Tiger II. These are one piece barrels with no assembly required, so very simple to apply. I forget their price at the moment.

From everything I've seen, Aber and Eduard barrels are fantastic. There is another brand out there (Canadian, I think, but for the life of me, I can't remember their name) that turn their barrels from brass. Beautiful work, but spendy. I've used a Jordi Rubio (see my sig), and was not particluarly happy with it.

Aber and Eduard are very very good, but also the barrels from Barrel depot are good. I resently got one from Barrel depot for a Tiger I late and it looks perfect.

I have used barrels from Eduard and FineMolds and they both have excellent detail and drop fit perfectly into the kit parts. I
also have used barrels from Modelpoing (outstanding!!) and Armo (also excellent). I have used jordi rubio barrels but have
found they can have fit problems with the kit parts.

I think it depends on what type of barrel you are looking for. A simple barrel like an M4 or a T34 most any one will work fine becaues it is easier to produce. More complex barrels like an M1A1 require higher levels of detail, increased complexity, multi media parts and can quickly get pricey. Aber has a good rep and I have been happy with model point for complex barrels and I like eduard for less complex barrels. I don't mind a good resin barrel if there is good quality control.

Thanks a lot to all.
I think that I'll try the single piece barrels from Eduard.

I think you are talking about the barrel depot, Bill.

I got their 76.2 M7 barrel for my M10 last lanuary. I have nothing to compare it against, but it sure beat the kit's 2 piece barrel hands down!!!
