Looking for Kit
Posted by pmm736 on Friday, December 3, 2004 5:22 PM
Maybe you guys can help. I'm looking for a kit that I built back when I was a kid. I enjoyed it then and would like to give it another go. It was a German truck towing a quad flak gun with the crew in winter uniforms, by Tamiya. I'm 99.9% sure that it all came together in one box, although I've seen the figures and flak packaged separately. I would try to piece it together from separate kits but I can't remember what kind of truck it was. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Pete

Did some searching with my favorite shops but only the individual parts are out there... not sure which vehicle was towing it... sorry!

What part of Long Island are you from, I lived in Commack as a kid in the late 50's and early 60's!

Was it a Horsche? I recall one towing an A.A, but think it was the single 20mm. Actually the only one that sort of fits that description was the semitrack with quad 20's and guys in winter uniforms. So, if that is the case, it wasn't towed.

heres a pic of the Horch. It an old kit that tamiya is re- releasing.

It could have been The Sdkfz 7/1 w/ quads and winter crew. the gun is mounted, but fits the rest of your description. This is also an old kit, Tamiya recently dicontinued it.

good luck with your search

Did Tamiya ever make an Opel Maultier SdKfz3? It definately was a cargo type vehicle and it could have been a half track, just not sure.

Cool, I went to college at Hofstra University from 1982-86. I put myself through college working for Budget Rent a Car in Bellmore and at the Sears in Massapequa.
