Markings are usually put on before any weathering is done, and then weathered along with the rest of the kit. Be sure they are fully dry and sealed beneath a cleacoat before weathering though, to reduce the risk of them coming off.

The dusty effect was created using very thinned white and desert yellow mixed together and misted from a distance. This is a technique i've used before on desert Hurricanes.

The mufler was done using a very light dusting of MIG productions light rust powder, the same as was used on the tracks.

One question though, do you or anyone else normally add the markings before or after any post shading and weathering? I left these till pretty much last but am not very happy with the result.

John, you did a find job for a wingie builder. I think it looks real nice, I like the dusty effect. What did you paint your muffler with? Perhaps this will become a new medium for you. Thanks and hope to see more work from you.
