From what I have read, they didn't pull the Long Tom gun but the 2 wheeled 155mm howitzer. Not sure if this is true but only pics I have seen have the smaller gun. Supposedly the M4 tractor was the prime mover for the Long Tom.

Thanks philp that was a great help. I had a couple of those but the other ones you found were much more helpful. I had already found out about them not pulling long tom's (right after I got home with the kit..... go figure) but I had originally bought 8-9 of hasagawa's long tom kit's (at .99 cents a piece who could resist!) and when I saw the M-5 kit on the cover of the box I just had to have one. I hear a company named Alby (could be wrong on the name) has a nice M-4 kit plus some other guns that maybe I'll look into. Thanks again

If you want a couple of good sources for 72nd scale armor check out.
http://www.ontheway.us/default.htm
and
http://www.tracks-n-troops.com/1_72%20SCALE%20PAGE.htm
The last is actually a mail order store but they have a good list and On the way has a very nice Manufacturers list.

On the way lists Alby as having the M4 and a couple of guns but didn't see the 155,
There is also a company called Hauler which is making prime movers and guns in 72nd. Check them out as well.

I ended up with 3 of the long toms and bought the M5 to go with the one I built before I found out they didn't pull them. Oh well, keep thinking of detailing the M5 but will have to wait and see.
