If you are happy to build "Hunter" you can do that one practically OOB. The kit goes to gether well with virtually no filler, but the underneath of the fenders has some big sink marks, scratches (from the original moulds) that need to be filled as they can be easily seen on the model. The moulded on tie downs and hatch handles need to be replaced, and bolt head detail on the hinges, and electrical conduit and hull fittings for the little lights on the fenders are all missing. All the usual stuff really.
If you want to do the other decal option "Vidette", or "Seawolf "like mine, you will need to add the side skirts and modify the fenders. The kit fenders are left overs from the Cromwell set and are not suitable at all. My added details are scratchbuilt, but Eduard do a PE set, if you are that way inclined, and they have the fenders on the fret too.
There are other vehicles with the short fender arrangement, but few photo's of these existand in those the tanks still have the wading trunks and waterproofing gear still fitted.

The turret ones were a bear to do. The Decals have small hoels for fitting around the bolthead with lifting eyes, but the holes don't line up. Leave the bolts off until decals have been applied. The decal film is quite thick, and hard to hide, trim around the bottom numbers if you can, but be prepared to get frustrated that way. I cut the decals into 2 or 3 smaller segments to make it easier to work with. Make sure you have a gloss finish before applying them of you WILL get silvering. Good Decal solvent and setting is a must, but I just used Mr Marksoftener and it worked well.
The name Seawolf , the black and white bars beside the drivers visor hatch and the numbers on the MG cover are spares from other kits or hand painted items.
Just a note: the tank colour Tamiya recommends is their Matt Earth. That is WAY too light. SCC2 was a very dark almost chocolate colour. Mine is a little lighter than it should be, because I liked it better and the layer of dust lightened the real colour anyway.
Thanks all for the kind words.
