I was just wondering if anyone has a workspace as messy as this ? Currently I cannot find my scissors to cut transfers ! They are buried in there somewhere ! ? I have limited space here to work in as there is no giant basement to take over . ( Apt dweller here )Wink [;)]

I would probably let my work area get to that stage if not for 2 cats and a 2-year old and a 5-year old who would have a field day.... So, I have to be careful....

Now, my desk at work is another story....... Tongue [:P]

Mines not that bad, and I'm in the process of reorganizing my room into a more proper work space. It will soon be my own personal hideaway. Evil [}:)] Just need a refrigerator in there and I'm set.

My area kind of cycles betweem semi-neat to "looks like a bomb went off here". At its best, it's neater than your table but at its worst it can be almost as bad. One thing that I did that helped a lot was to take a short 2"x4" block and drill a bunch of holes into it, giving me a well defined spot for my exacto knives, tweezers, scribers, scrapers, glue applicators, etc. I find that if I can keep my area somewhat organized, it really seems to increase the enjoyment of model building.

Yea I seriously have to do something else toolwise , why I haven't up to this point is beyond me ! It gets pretty darn frustrating looking for this and that . The main reason my table gets this way is when the mood hits me , as it has the past few days , I do a few things on a project , I like to have everything there , if I feel like working on the tank that day it is there , if I feel like painting and decaling figures that day it is there , I don't like to do things in steps as I should , I get bored too fast and get nothing done ! I have painted and transferred 3 full figures (driver, radioman, commander , 2 to go ) on my current project , in the past 3 days , and I am really happy with the results ! Will post pix soon ! Cool [8D]

Mine looks like the surface of the moon compared to that. But then again, I just got a new work table -our old computer desk, which we recently replaced with an armoir-and with the cubby holes and drawers, things go away nicely. But I'm sure, with time and the continued addition of tools and other stuff I can't seem to live without, It will approach that level of clutter.

Yeah mine is pretty messy too. Not quite that bad, but bad enough.

I clean it but everyday after that goes by my working space gets smaller and smaller till its the way it is now.

About the size of a dinner plate.

My wife calls me a neat freak, but my work space is pretty messy, not that messy, but it could use a few minutes of attention that's for sure.

Mine was that way before Thanksgiving week, then my wife saw it (my hobby room is a converted garage that is usually never accessed by the wife) and she threatened to throw everything out if I did not clean up before the family came over. Now it's nice and tidy.Cool [8D]

I have numerous storage racks and shelves, but I can't keep super neat anyway.
One thing I do that really does help though is I purchaed some cheap "lazy-susans" from Wal-Mart for about $5 US that are two level and work GREAT as paint storage. Just spin to what you want!

My hobby is living in a fishing tackle box and some rubbermaid containers till the kid moves to his own apartment and I get my desk back! His giant PC is there right now... Boo hoo! Its nice to have him here when we break out the kits and play though! Modeling parties are great fun! Card tables can be lifesavers!

Mine, is strew with dead ladybugs lurking around every corner, sometimes(rarely now we don't have them anymore) they would rear up on their hind legs like some monstrous primeaval monster-this scared my friend--really! Also, it is an ever constant fight against the slow buildup of extra guns and figures and small parts sprues building up, even when i am not working. Dragon models, although satisfying the most, contribute the most with all of those extra sprue parts.....lol
also, mypaintball gun when i clean it, i must clean my desk which poses the major problem! WHERE TO PUT EVERYTHING!

You get an atta-boy, good job in having a messy desk....someday I'll get there. All I have is the kitchen table and my wife does not appreciate me keep my stuff there for long extended periods of time.

I do most of my building at work. So I have to put my stuff up every time. I Have two cases I use for paints. I stand them up open the lid and I can see all my colors stacked in a row. My tools, sharpies, air brushes, oil paints. ect. are sorted into cigar boxes. I take them out as I need them. It Takes me 5 minutes to clean up, and nobody knows I was there. When I build at home I grab one of my cases they are double sided so I can put tools ect.... in the back and away I go. I found these cases at Home Depot in the screw department. They look just like a small breif case.
